The association was established in 1899 in St. Louis. “Independent” insurance agents and brokers offer their clients the products of more than one insurance company.
MAIA educates, informs, promotes and advocates for independent agents and their clients, encourages networking, high standards, and works to perpetuate the independent agency system. Through the association, Custom Insurance Services is also a member of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the “Big I”) and the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (“PIA.”)
